No documentation. Accuracy?

Tool me a while to figure out kind of how to do it. But still not exactly sure how to use the ruler and green lines. Is the ruler my baseline? Theres no documentation... But you can pay to remove the ads!!

Kind of tough getting accurate readings having to hold the phone perfectly still.
